Format guide There is no single Citadel test we can honestly clone. Cognitive screens, probability papers, and live interviews are all reported — depending on whether you applied to Citadel or Citadel Securities, and to trading, research, or engineering. This page separates those reports and links skill practice instead of inventing one fake exam.
Three reports that should not be mashed into one timer

What to practise instead of a fake Citadel clone
CTC-style mixed OA
50 questions in 15 minutes mixing numerical, spatial, verbal, and logic — the closest skill relative to a short cognitive screen. It is not Citadel's test (different firm, 15 minutes not 12, no English-knowledge items).

What is the Citadel online assessment?
There is no single paper. Citadel (the hedge fund) and Citadel Securities (the market maker) are separate businesses; quant trading, quant research, and software engineering each see different screens. Some prep sites describe a 50-question / 12-minute cognitive test (logic, arithmetic, English) for certain Citadel roles — that timing is the Wonderlic family, not an 80-in-8. Citadel Securities trading write-ups more often describe a shorter probability-heavy set. Official Citadel Securities quantitative-research pages describe a 45–60 minute remote interview, not an automated OA.
Is it 50 questions in 12 minutes?
That number is widely repeated for a Citadel cognitive screen, and it matches a known vendor format (Wonderlic / similar: 50 items, 12 minutes). We repeat it as a candidate report, not as a confirmed current spec for every role. We do not ship a Wonderlic clone labelled Citadel.
What about Citadel Securities trading?
Public prep tools describe a probability / brain-teaser / math mix on the order of 10–15 questions in about 30 minutes, calculator sometimes allowed. That is a different exam from a 12-minute cognitive sprint. If your invite says Citadel Securities trading, train probability and EV, not 6-second arithmetic.
Does Citadel use 80-in-8?
That is not the publicly described Citadel or Citadel Securities screen. 80-in-8 is the Optiver / Akuna family. Fast arithmetic still helps in interviews; it is not the OA to clone here.
